International ICF Canoe Slalom & Italian Championship Under23
At the end of May, the international canoeing elite will meet again in Merano for the international canoe slalom on the Passer. A wet and exciting race is guaranteed!
The thermal baths, botanical gardens and promenades are certainly the main attractions of the spa town. However, Merano/Meran has much more to offer - including for white water sports enthusiasts.
What you may not know is that the town on the River Passer is one of the most important national and international venues for canoeing. The near-natural torrent and the course in the centre of the city add to the charm of the competition venue.
The canoeing competitions start at 9.30 am on Saturday and 9.00 am on Sunday. The participants paddle until the afternoon between the Gilfenklamm and the Steinernen Steg. Highlights of the event are the finals on Sunday afternoon - and the legendary closing party in the boathouse area.
