300 Years of Villa Kinsele

In the garden of Villa Kinsele, Professor Daniela Salvucci will speak, in Italian, about the stays of anthropology pioneer Bronisław Malinowski and his family in Bolzano and Oberbozen during the 1920s and 1930s. Voluntary donation.

To celebrate the 300th anniversary of Villa Kinsele in Maria Schnee on the Renon plateau, the summer of 2026 will feature three cultural events in the historic summer residence, recently restored.

On July 15, Professor Daniela Salvucci will speak about the presence of the founder of anthropology, Bronisław Malinowski, and his family in Bolzano and Oberbozen during the 1920s and 1930s.

On July 31, the Ensemble Philomusia will perform works by Mozart, Offenbach, Bizet and Gulda.

The series will conclude on August 19 with “Music Meets History”: the group Cordes y Buttons and Armin Kobler will take the audience on a journey through music and historic postcards of Oberbozen.

Admission to all events is free.
