An evening dedicated to visiting the Celado Astronomical Observatory, including a presentation of the facility, telescopic observation, and film screenings. We will observe the most spectacular celestial bodies visible at the time (Moon and planets, open and globular star clusters, nebulae, galaxies).
Cost:
€8 (adults), €5 (6-17 years), free up to 5 years
Payment in cash at the observatory on the evening of the visit
Notes:
- meet at the Celado Astronomical Observatory (Castello Tesino), fifteen minutes before the start of the visit
- booking is essential by 12 noon on the day of the activity via APT Castello Tesino
- in case of cloudy weather, the visit will be limited to watching films and classroom discussions, as well as visiting the structure
- on request for groups, the activity can be held in English
- meeting point is at the Astronomical Observatory - Celado Plateau (7.8 km from Castello Tesino)
- the observation will take place with a minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 20 participants
- animals are not allowed
Please note: the observatory is located at 1300m above sea level, temperatures on winter nights can be very low. Suitable clothing is recommended. The classroom and control room are heated, the rest of the building is not; particularly in the dome, where the telescope is located, it's like being outdoors.
