A Look Behind the Scenes

On Saturday, May 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the HGV and the Ritten Tourist Office invite visitors to an open day in the hospitality and tourism sector. Numerous businesses on the Ritten will open their doors and offer a glimpse into what usually remains behind the scenes.

What does a typical working day in the hotel and catering industry actually look like? Who ensures that guests feel completely at ease? Answers to these and many other questions are provided by this joint initiative of the HGV and the Ritten Tourist Association – directly on site and through personal exchange.

Experience diversity: from farm stays to wellness hotels.
Participating businesses include the Apipura Hotel Rinner, Bella Posta, Gloriette Guesthouse, Hotel am Hang, Hotel Bemelmans, Hotel Latemar, Hotel Lichtenstern, Parkhotel Holzner, Steidacherhof, Waldhotel Tann, Wanderhotel Regina, and Weihrerhof. The aim of the initiative is to give interested locals, families, and especially young people an insight into tourism and hospitality businesses.

Each establishment will design the day individually – from guided tours and tastings to insights into various professions. The focus is not only on the venues themselves, but above all on the people behind them, as well as on topics such as sustainability, history, product philosophy, and everyday working life in tourism.

An additional incentive is provided by a prize draw: visitors receive a stamp card and can take part if they visit at least three businesses. An attractive prize will be raffled among all participants.

The open day promises to be a special experience for young and old alike – an invitation to see your home from a new perspective and to experience first-hand the diversity, passion, and professionalism behind the scenes of tourism on the Ritten.
