Documentary film "The Great Peak - 150 years of climbing art" by Reinhold Messner!
On 21.08.1869 the rope team of Paul Grohmann, Franz Innerkofler and Peter Salcher, who had already conquered the Dreischusterspitze a month before, conquered the Große Zinne. With this, the three mountaineering pioneers succeeded in one of the most important first ascents of all and the birth of alpinism in the Sesto Dolomites was initiated.
Reinhold Messner illustrates exactly this alpine history in his new mountain film "Die Große Zinne - 150 years of climbing art", because "nowhere else can the development of alpine climbing from its beginnings to the present be better described than at the Große Zinne".
The film "Die Große Zinne" was created in a co-production of Mediaart Production Coop and Messner Mountain Movie. The film project was supported by the IDM Film Federation and the tourism associations of the Dolomite region 3 Zinnen.
