Gustav Mahler's Ninth Symphony, composed in Dobbiaco (Toblach), unfolds as a soundscape of delicate intimacy, sharp irony, and eruptive energy. Dance-like episodes, grotesque distortions, and ethereal soundscapes alternate, showcasing the full variety of Mahler's musical language.
Conductor Ustina Dubitsky received the Orchestra Prize from the La Maestra Academy in 2022. Following her time as assistant conductor with the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, she made her debut at the Bavarian State Opera in 2024. She has conducted the Dresden Philharmonic, the Orchestre de Paris, and the Munich Symphony Orchestra, among others.
The Bavarian State Youth Orchestra is one of Germany's leading youth ensembles.
