Benedictan Abbey of Muri-Gries

Experience an exclusive visit to selected areas of the Benedictine Monastery of Muri-Gries. The historic complex also houses a renowned winery, where the celebrated Lagrein red wines from the surrounding vineyards are aged. The Baroque abbey church captivates with its stunning frescoes by the artist Martin Knoller. In the immediate vicinity stands the Old Parish Church of Gries, in the late Gothic style, where you can admire, among other treasures, a valuable Romanesque wooden crucifix and the famous altarpiece by Michael Pacher (1471–1475).
