Biological diversity of mushrooms

Biological diversity of mushrooms

Fungi play a crucial role in terrestrial ecosystems. They serve as decomposers by converting dead organic material into vital nutrients for plants. In addition, many fungi form symbiotic relationships with plant roots, contributing to the health of plants and the biodiversity of the surrounding environment.
At the colloquium in Italian "Lo studio della biodiversità micologica in Alto Adige" next Wednesday, 8 May at 6 pm at the South Tyrol Museum of Nature, mushroom expert Claudio Rossi will introduce the function and ecological significance of fungi. He will report on the work of the Bolzano section of the Bresadola Mushroom Association and present the most important habitats in South Tyrol with the most representative mushroom species.

In Italian language.
