During a guided morning hike, we explore the special features of the local birdlife and gain insight into the interactions between nature, agriculture and the landscape.
As the sun slowly rises over the mountain slopes and the first birds begin to sing, a very special concert unfolds: the morning song of nature. Together with wildlife ecologist Birgith Unterthurner, we listen to the songs and calls of our feathered neighbours. Which species are active in the early morning hours? How can their songs be distinguished? Why do birds sing at all? And how do climate, habitat and human land use influence their diversity?
A key aim of the tour is to raise awareness of the unique ecological, cultural and scenic characteristics of Partschins, while encouraging a mindful and respectful approach to this remarkable environment.
