Cyanotype is an ancient method of photographic printing characterised by the typical Prussian Blue colour (hence the name derived from the ancient Greek kyanos, “blue”). It was discovered in England in 1842 and was first used photographically by Anna Atkins, a botanist and photographer, who published a book of cyanotypes of algae, considered the first book with photographic images in history.

Programme of the workshop day:
10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Introduction to cyanotyping and preparation of materials for printing, with chemists and sheets.
11:00 - 16:00 It's your turn to express your creativity! Experiment freely with printing, always under the expert guidance of the artist
12:30 - 13:30 lunch break
16:00 - 17:00 time to discuss the creative process
