The ruins of Casanova Castle provide an impressive geological backdrop for the Bolzano Supervolcano. On this family hike, you can take a closer look at the differences between two types of volcanic rock - lava and ignimbrite - and discover the fascinating flow structures that bear witness to ancient explosive eruptions.
