Dolomiti Ski Jazz: Cûr di Veri

Dolomiti Ski Jazz: Cûr di Veri

Wednesday 11 Mar

Soraga

from 18:00 on

The 30th edition of Dolomiti Ski Jazz comes to Gran Ciasa in Soraga, where early tango music and Friulian tradition resonate.

From 6 to 15 March, the "jazz piste" travels through the Fassa and Fiemme valleys with concerts on mountain hut terraces, in venues, theatres, and town squares. From Canazei to Cavalese, all the way to Cembra: this year, Dolomiti Ski Jazz once again presents 25 concerts. Warm rhythms, including jazz, blues, funk, and Latin music, will create thrilling contrasts with the snow-covered Dolomite scenery. International artists will perform in the evenings in local venues and theatres, while during the day they will play at altitude on mountain hut terraces, some of which are accessible even to non-skiers. The festival will move day by day from one piste to another, from the Belvedere ski area in Canazei to Alpe Cermis in Cavalese.

Dolomiti Ski Jazz: Cûr di Veri, Gran Ciasa (Soraga). Wednesday 11 March at 6 p.m.

The music of multi-instrumentalist and arranger Leo Virgili is interpreted by the very young Nicole Coceancig, one of the most energetic and inspired voices in Friuli in recent years. This quartet is capable of taking a journey across the ocean, combining the typical melodies of Friulian music with the tragic imagery characteristic of Argentinian tango.

Band members: Nicole Coceancig (vocals), Davide Raciti (violin), Leo Virgili (guitar), Valeria Liva (double bass).

The concert is free. Gran Ciasa in Soraga is accessible on foot and by car.
