Duke Ellington "Sacred Concert"

Duke Ellington "Sacred Concert"

This event already took place. (1/06/2024)

The JazzRockPop Choir and Big Band from the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen are making their first tour abroad and have chosen Bolzano, Erlangen's twin city, as their venue.
With a sensational sacred composition by the African-American jazz pianist and bandleader Duke Ellington, the 100 or so students, directed by Prof. Marco Schneider, want to communicate to the audience how music can unite people. Jazz singer Agnes Lepp, lecturer at the Nuremberg music high school, and Klaus Bleis, one of Germany's leading tap dancers, will also be present.

The programme is rounded off by some English and German gospel singers.
