The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri
Musicological research has led to the rediscovery of the score ‘La Divina Commedia per pianoforte a quattro mani’ by Cesare San Fiorenzo, an original work for piano four hands. The composition, which had been forgotten for over a hundred years, presents extraordinary and impressive melodies that are very close to Giuseppe Verdi's operatic style. The programme also includes several transcriptions of Verdi arias from La Traviata and Il Trovatore.
