Egerländer Concert - Music Band Walten

Egerländer Concert - Music Band Walten

This event already took place. (12/09/2025)

The music band of Walten warmly invites you to the traditional Egerländer Concert in St. Leonhard/S. Leonardo.

From 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm, authentic Bohemian brass music will fill Raiffeisenplatz square, featuring polkas, waltzes, and marches.
Conductor Adolf Augscheller, who has led the Walten Music Band for over three decades, is a true enthusiast of Egerländer brass music. He himself played the tuba with Karl Hanspeter and his Südtirol Musikanten – an experience that continues to shape his musical work. With great dedication, he has imparted to his band the distinctive Egerländer sound so cherished by music lovers.
The band regularly organizes concerts dedicated entirely to this musical style. This year’s concert is particularly special: it commemorates the 100th birthday of Ernst Mosch, the legendary founder of the Original Egerländer Musikanten, who would have celebrated it on November 7. For this reason, Conductor Augscheller has put together a program consisting almost exclusively of original pieces by the Egerländer Musikanten – a heartfelt tribute to Mosch’s life’s work.
In addition to musical enjoyment, the audience can look forward to culinary delights: the band’s "Marketenderinnen" will serve Psairer beer – a genuine house-brewed beer by first flugelhornist Norman Klotz. The selection is complemented by fine local wines and hearty specialties from the butcher Metzgerei Hofer in Moos.

The music band of Walten looks forward to welcoming many visitors for an evening celebrating authentic Bohemian brass music!
