After the long winter, the first mushrooms timidly begin to appear, and we will go discover them in the surroundings of Andrian.
We will observe the various types of habitats where mushrooms grow. We will collect some mushrooms to directly examine their morphological and organoleptic characteristics, and discuss both environmental topics—mushroom lifestyles—and questions about edibility. We will learn about the crucial role of different types of mushrooms in forest ecosystems in particular, as well as their importance for humans.
Claudio Rossi, a teacher of physical education and sports (high school); responsible for Italian-language school management (environmental education projects); scientific director of the Bresadola Mycological Association in Bolzano, specialist in the genus Cortinarius, also follows the mycological world in the industrial and gastronomic fields.
Suitable for nature lovers of all levels!
