What makes the fish from the Passeiertal Valley so special? Where does the fish actually come from? And how is it raised?
You’ll find out all this – and much more – during an exciting guided tour of the traditional Schiefer fish farm. For over 120 years, fish have been bred here with great passion and expertise – primarily trout, char, and grayling. The focus is mainly on restocking natural waters, but also on providing high-quality fish for regional cuisine.
During the tour, you’ll learn more about breeding, the facility, feeding, and the delicate balance between tradition, biodiversity, and sustainability. Stefan will take you into the fascinating underwater world and share exciting insights into his daily work.
And of course, enjoyment is not to be missed: at the end of the tour, you’ll have the chance to taste fresh fish specialties.
