Both blondes, both actresses, both curly-haired when not ironing their hair, both mothers of a daughter, both grew up with male siblings: Bottiglieri and Folli are two artists who created the project Le Mostre with which they began to probe, in an ironic and cutting manner, the differences in education, expectations, and demands between women and men. Now, from the highly-followed Instagram page that collects short satirical videos, Bottiglieri and Folli have moved on to theatre.
‘You and your brother are the same! we've often heard each other say. But is that really the case?’ the authors ask. 'There are so many differences in terms of education, expectations, demands. Not only us, but also our siblings'. Like sisters is an ironic and moving show that investigates the attitudes and burdens we carry around with us. No one excluded. Men and women. Weights that do nothing but generate monsters and, of course... Exhibitions.
