The Val di Fosse is one of South Tyrol’s richest valleys in terms of wildlife and lies at the heart of the largest nature park in the region, the Tessa Group Nature Park. It is also home to one of the most beautiful sections of the Merano High Mountain Trail. The unique flora and fauna of this high-alpine valley fascinate hikers and nature lovers alike.
Starting from the Vorderkaser car park, the trail leads gently through Mitterkaser and Rableid up to the Eishof. Here, we can enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding peaks within the nature park.
After a break, we return along the same trail to the car park.

Total hiking time: approx. 3.5 hours
