From the Gigglhirn in St. Walburg/Ultental, we hike along an ascending forest path, accompanied by the rushing of the Wildbach stream, to the Marschnellalm, the highest alpine pasture in the valley. We then hike briefly over steep mountain meadows and a short, easy ridge to reach the Peilstein with its impressive panoramic view of the Ulten mountains.
