Guided tours in Easy Language

Guided tours in Easy Language

This event already took place. (17/10/2025)

On Friday, 17 October, the South Tyrol Museum of Nature, in cooperation with OKAY – Office for Easy Language by Lebenshilfe, will once again offer guided tours in Easy Language.
The aim of this initiative is to make the exhibition “Grass and Teeth” more accessible to people with learning difficulties, to families, and to anyone who appreciates clear and simple explanations.

Easy Language promotes inclusion: it helps people with learning difficulties or limited German skills to better understand information. In this way, it removes linguistic barriers, strengthens the right to information, and enables equal participation in society – for example in education, politics, or culture. It is also a sign of respect and appreciation.

The exhibition “Grass and Teeth” tells the story of life on the alpine pasture – of wild and domestic animals, of shepherds’ work past and present, of cheese-making, and of old eating habits. Visitors can see life-size animal figures made of wood, stone, and bronze, a large alpine pasture model, and original shepherd clothing from three centuries.

The German-language tour begins at 3:00 p.m., and the Italian-language tour at 4:00 p.m.
Each lasts about 45 minutes and is included in the museum admission fee.
Recommended for children aged 9 and up and adults.
