Embark on a journey through a centuries-old cultural landscape of South Tyrol – the larch meadows of the Salten high plateau.
On a leisurely hike, you will discover the traditional way this unique landscape has been managed and learn about its valuable importance for the local flora and fauna. You will gain insight into a remarkable habitat where two worlds are closely intertwined in a harmonious way: here, forest animals and plants coexist with those of the open meadow landscape.
Along the way, you will enjoy sweeping views of the breathtaking Dolomite scenery, across the Adige Valley towards the Mendel Pass and the majestic Ortler mountain range. Rustic inns along the route invite you to pause and relax – savour typical South Tyrolean specialities, fresh mountain air, and the soothing calm of nature. An excursion for connoisseurs, nature lovers, and all those who wish to discover the quiet beauty of our alpine world.
