A fascinating programme brings together three contrasting sound worlds from 1886: the passionate Sonata in C minor, Op. 45 by Edvard Grieg, the lyrical and elegant Sonata in A major, Op. 100 by Johannes Brahms, and the famous Sonata in A major by César Franck.
Winner of the 2025 International Ysaÿe Competition and the 2022 ICMA Discovery Award, 21-year-old South Tyrolean violinist Julian Kainrath has performed in Europe’s renowned concert halls and with numerous orchestras since his debut with Adam Fischer in Luxembourg in 2021.
Born in 1996, pianist Anton Gerzenberg was catapulted onto the international music scene in June 2021 when he won first prize at the 15th Concours Géza Anda in Zurich.
