Kirchbichl Triathlon

Saturday 30 May

Kirchbichl

from 08:30 on

The Kirchbichl Triathlon is one of the oldest triathlon events in Austria. For more than 40 years, athletes have been taking on the challenge in the Hohe Salve region.

Both amateur athletes and professionals compete in the Kirchbichl Triathlon. The start and finish are located at the Kirchbichl lido, which becomes a meeting point for participants and spectators during the event.

Athletes complete the classic three disciplines of swimming, cycling, and running. The sprint triathlon consists of approximately 750 metres of swimming, around 20 kilometres of cycling, and 5.2 kilometres of running. There is also an Olympic distance featuring about 1.4 kilometres of swimming, 40 kilometres of cycling, and 10.4 kilometres of running.

In addition, there are aquathlon competitions that combine swimming and running: children can take part in the Kids Aquathlon, and the TRIWomen Aquathlon is specifically for women without extensive training experience.
