The young artist Jonathan Zwießler, a graduate of the Faculty of Arts and Design at the Free University of Bolzano, will turn the old tram bridge into a symbolic meeting place with "melody of encounters" on Friday, 2 June at 6 pm. The bridge itself becomes a large musical instrument and the people walking on it are the musicians who meet in the self-generated soundscape above the water. Introductory words will be spoken by Wittfrida Mitterer of the Kuratorium für Technische Kulturgüter. Meeting point is at 6 p.m. at the Lana-Burgstall railway station.
The installation will be preceded by a workshop in which the participants will transform various objects into instruments and then use them to play on the bridge. In this way, things from the private space meet the architecture of the bridge in the public space. This new relationship is reflected in the sound, which is recorded as a "melody of encounters". Start at 4.00 pm.
