Dramatic tension and captivating rhythms define the programme: Beethoven’s ‘Coriolan’ Overture unfolds with tragic intensity, while Symphony No. 7 pulses with energy and remains one of his most exhilarating and popular works.
Between these, six songs from ‘Des Knaben Wunderhorn’ reveal the sonic world of Gustav Mahler – a blend of humour, irony, and melancholy. Folk-like lyrics combine with a colourful orchestral palette to create poetic miniatures.
Verena Kronbichler from Brunico (Bruneck) was a member of the opera studio at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and has performed at venues including the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Cologne Philharmonic, the Hercules Hall in Munich, and the Tyrol Festival Erl.
