Mareiter Stein Attacke – Mountain Run on August 8th, 2026

Steep is fun
Since 2015, the “Mareiter Stein Attacke” (formerly Mareiter Stein Trophy), organized by ASV Mareit/Volksbank, has been a fixed part of South Tyrol’s mountain running scene. Under the motto “Steep is fun,” the runners in the “Race” category will start on August 8, 2026, at 8:30 AM from the village center of Mareit.

Quick info:

“Race”: Participants start on August 8, 2026, at 8:30 AM from the village center of Mareit and cover a 4.8 km route with a challenging 1,180 meters of elevation gain to the summit of Mareiter Stein (2,192 m).

“Relay”: Also starts at 8:30 AM from the village center, with the first runner covering 2.6 km / 700 m elevation gain and the second runner 2.2 km / 480 m, finishing at Mareiter Stein (2,192 m). At the relay exchange point a shuttle service to the alpine pasture "Kerschbaumeralm" will be available (also for the return for everyone to the village).

“Hobby”: Start at 8:30 AM from the village center with finish at Kerschbaumeralm (5.5 km / 830 m elevation gain). The average time will be awarded.

“Kids’ Run”: Starts on August 7, 2026, at 6:30 PM from the Mareit village center on various courses depending on age category. (Awards ceremony: 8:00 PM at the village square)

Good to know
Every participant in all categories will again receive a great starter package! In addition, all participants in the “Race” and “Relay” categories who register by July 31, 2026, and start on race day will have a chance to win a surprise prize, drawn after the awards ceremony.
