On Thursday, November 27, 2025, the final concert of the KulturKontakt Eppan concert season will take place at the Ansitz Reinsperg in Eppan. The guest performer will be the internationally renowned bandoneonist Mario S. Pietrodarchi, who will present a program combining film, dance, and South American passion together with a string quintet.
The program will feature works by Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota, Roberto Di Marino, and Astor Piazzolla—composers whose music is characterized by emotional expressiveness and a close connection to film and movement. The program ranges from Morricone's well-known themes from Cinema Paradiso, Mission, and C'era una volta il West to Rota's homage to Federico Fellini, Di Marino's Suite mediterranea, and Piazzolla's tango classics Oblivion, Adiós Nonino, and Libertango.
Mario S. Pietrodarchi graduated with honors from the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome in 2007 and has been performing worldwide ever since. He has worked with Andrea Bocelli, Angela Gheorghiu, and Michele Placido, among others, and is considered one of the outstanding bandoneonists of his generation.
The 2026 concert season will also be presented during the evening. After the concert, all guests are invited to a reception. In addition, the Heinrich von Mörl Scholarship will be awarded.
