A day dedicated to Ladin culture, traditions and way of life. During a walk through the historic viles of La Val – the old rural settlements – visitors discover a piece of living history and immerse themselves in the world of Ladin mountain farmers.
Along the route, some farms open their doors and present traditional crafts and customs that are still preserved today. Visitors can watch the preparation of bread, butter and cheese according to traditional recipes and observe how the typical Ladin tutres are made.
The programme also includes short guided visits to St. Barbara’s Church and to the old church of La Val. On this special day there is also the rare opportunity to climb the bell tower of the old church, offering a unique view over the village and the surrounding landscape.
Along the route, several local associations from La Val provide refreshments, offering freshly prepared traditional Ladin specialities.
Among farms, barns and courtyards, an authentic atmosphere emerges, full of encounters, stories and living traditions, accompanied by music and convivial moments.
