The Moontalk dialogue series, curated by franzLAB, presents its 22nd edition, this time in collaboration with Kids Culture Club. The guest of the evening is Lucas Zanotto, designer and artist from Bressanone/Brixen, now based in Helsinki and one of the most internationally acclaimed creative figures of his generation.
His visual universe is playful, abstract and visionary, inspired by the mountain landscape of his childhood and driven by boundless curiosity. From a product design background, he developed an ironic and experimental artistic approach that produces animations, installations and kinetic sculptures. His work harnesses movement, rhythm and irony to evoke both pleasure and reflection through a minimal yet inventive aesthetic. Over his career he has collaborated with brands including Hermès, Apple, Plank, Lexus, Google, Amazon, YouTube and Wimbledon. His work has been recognised with the Apple Design Award, the Golden Lion at Cannes, Gold at the BDA Promax International Awards and the main prize at ITFS.
In conversation with Katharina Volgger, architect, cultural mediator and co-chair of the Architecture Foundation South Tyrol, Zanotto opens up his world of shape, colour and play. The talk is held in German.
