The “Monteverdi in Concert” series at the Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory in Bolzano returns in 2026 with a program aimed at both art music enthusiasts and newcomers. The season explores the theme of Sturm und Drang and its legacy in Romanticism, 20th-century music, and contemporary electronic sound, under the motto “Echoes of the past, voices of the present.”
The concert “Percussion Evolution” examines percussion as a primary force of tension and energy. Featuring works by Reich, Cage, Cangelosi, and Perez, sound becomes a physical gesture and emotional contrast, evoking the rebellious and visceral spirit of Sturm und Drang across different eras and musical languages.
