When summer on the alpine pastures comes to an end, the village of Rein celebrates in grand style! During the famous “Reina Kiekemma”, well known throughout South Tyrol, beautifully decorated animals, shepherds and craftsmen return to the valley in a colourful traditional parade. Musicians create a festive atmosphere, decorated wagons roll through the village, and the scent of regional delicacies fills the air.
Programme:
Saturday from 7:00 pm: Festival evening and live music in the heated festival tent with “Ligist 3”
Sunday:
From 10:30 am: Morning pint with “JBP BlasmusikPower”
1:00 pm: Traditional cattle drive parade featuring Wurzelmusik Wahlen, Schuhplattler dancers and traditional festive wagons
2:30 pm: Dance and live entertainment with “Zillertal Pur”
5:00 pm: Lottery drawing and prize ceremony
Afterwards, “Zillertal Pur” will continue to provide great entertainment and atmosphere.
A wide-ranging supporting programme for young and old awaits you, including a playground, petting zoo and many other attractions.
Be sure to try the delicious traditional local dishes such as Topfnudeln, Krapfen, Bauerngeröstel, barley soup and many more.
A celebration for all the senses – authentic, traditional and unforgettable!
The local associations – the Volunteer Fire Brigade of Rein, the Schützen Rein and the sports club ASV Rein – look forward to welcoming you.
