S. Martino al Monte circular hike

We start below the hamlet of S. Martino al Monte and hike through dense coniferous forest to the snack stop Plazair. From here, we already enjoy a beautiful panoramic view across the Ortles Group to the Sesvenna Group in the upper Val Venosta.
We then continue uphill to the viewpoint “Dolomitenblick”. As the name suggests, this is a scenic spot located in the middle of a meadow, with benches and tables inviting you to relax and take in the view.
The trail continues over the Rossböden to St. Martiner Alpl, from where we gently descend back to St. Martin am Kofel and further to the starting point.
Altitude gain: approx. 500 m
Total hiking time: 2.5–3 hours
