The Sitkovetsky Trio has established itself as an outstanding piano trio; its thoughtful and committed approach has brought the ensemble the greatest recognition and invitations to prestigious concert halls around the world. Recently awarded the BBC Music Magazine's Chamber Music Award, the Sitkovetsky Trio is also first prize winner of the Commerzbank International Chamber Music Competition and received the NORDMETALL Chamber Music Prize at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, as well as the Philharmonia-Martin Chamber Music Award.
The programme includes rarely heard, brilliant piano trios by Cécile Chaminade (Trio No. 2 in A minor) and Elfrida Andrée (Trio No. 2 in G minor) as well as the Piano Trio No. 1 in B flat major op. 99, D 898 by Franz Schubert.
