Smugglers hike at the Mount Elmo

We start with the public bus to Sexten/Sesto and go with the cable car to the Helm/Monte Elmo (2.050 m). Here the hike begins via the Hüttensteig path nr. 20, to the Helmhaus and to the Rif. Sillianer Hütte hut.
With a 360° view between the Italian-Austrian border, we learn a lot
about the exciting history of this area. Descent via hiking trail nr. 4a and the Rif. Hahnspielhütte/Gallo Cedrone hut to the Helm/Monte Elmo mountain station, where we then take the cable car back down to the valley and return to the starting point by public bus.
