“MIDSUMMER POEM” is a musical tribute to what may be the most powerful time of the year: midsummer.
When the days seem endless, vitamin D levels are fully replenished, and nature generously surrounds us with images, colours, scents, and countless nourishing sensory experiences. Stefanie Boltz has immersed herself deeply in the spirit of midsummer in order to celebrate it together with us.
Roy Ayers’ “Everybody Loves the Sunshine” grooves effortlessly, Herbie Hancock’s “Watermelon Man” features prominently in the programme, while Mancini’s “Slow Hot Wind”, “Summer Breeze”, and every form of a “Heat Wave” carry us into an extraordinary state of physical and emotional intensity.
