At the Stubai Ultratrail, the fittest of the fit tackle a high-altitude trail, while active participants with slightly less ambition run along the 'Sunnseit'n' of the Stubai Valley. Every year, numerous trail runners test their limits at this running event in the Stubai Valley. They can choose from five distances. The start and finish for every route is in Neustift.
The flagship category, the Stubai High Trail, covers 78 kilometres and 5,930 metres of elevation gain. As a technically extremely demanding, high-alpine trail, it is not for the faint-hearted, though the mountain scenery is exceptional. Slightly less difficult but still challenging is the Stubai Ultra, covering 59 kilometres and 4,280 metres of elevation. Runners are rewarded here with views of the Kalkkögel mountains and the Elfer massif.
The Stubai Classic to the Kaserstattalm involves 31 kilometres and 2,325 metres of elevation, while the Stubai Express leads through 24 kilometres and 1,305 metres of elevation into the Pinnis Valley. One of the highlights of the Stubai Sunnseit'n Trail (16 kilometres, 750 metres of elevation) is a suspension bridge.
