Tyrol's largest waterfall, the Stuiben Falls near Umhausen in the Ötztal valley, is at the heart of this trail running event. For the sixth edition in May 2026, several hundred participants from various countries are expected once again.
Regardless of the chosen distance, the 728 steps at the 159-metre-high Stuiben Falls must always be climbed. The longest route, the Stuiben Trail 42K (44.1 km, 3,100 m elevation gain), leads from Umhausen over the waterfall, up to the Narrenkogel, into the Horlachtal and Grastal valleys, and down to the plains near Längenfeld. Together with the shorter 12K and 24K routes and the Widi Trailrun for children, this marathon trail run takes place on Saturday. On the evening before, there is also the Stuiben
Sprint (4 km, 450 m elevation gain).
