Summer Solstice Fires in Innsbruck

The higher you travel on the Nordkette cable car, the more mountain fires come into view on both sides of the Inn Valley. The festive atmosphere on this day becomes even more intense as you ascend. Local clubs from the surrounding villages tend to the solstice fires around the Seegrube, while visitors can enjoy a meal at the Seestube and Karstube.
At 20:15, a torchlight hike for children begins at the playground, led by a storyteller. She shares legends and tales for the little ones that are sure to captivate the adults as well. From 20:30, Pat Burgerer provides live music.
The last descent from the highest station at Hafelekar leaves at 23:00. Half an hour later, the last gondola departs from the Seegrube.
