From the agreed meeting point at the parking lot at the freeway exit, we set off - ideally in carpools - towards the top of the Passo Pennes (the transition between the Val d'Isarco Valley and the Sarentino Valley). Alternatively, by prior arrangement, anyone who wishes can drive directly to the parking lots below the Passo Pennes, the starting point of our hike.
From this position, our path leads mostly along the ridge, gently ascending and not very difficult, always accompanied by breathtaking views. Our destination is the summit of the Zinseler (2,422 m), from where we can enjoy an impressive panoramic view. The panorama stretches from the glaciers of the eastern main Alpine ridge over the Pusteria valley to the Dolomites in the south and extends westwards over the Sarentino Alps to the Swiss border.
The highlight of our tour will undoubtedly be the unforgettable sunset, which transforms the sky into a fascinating play of colors. We then immerse ourselves in the silence of the night and walk back to the car under an unforgettable starry sky.
