The quarter of monasteries and convents lies in the quiet south of Brixen. The convent opposite, which was founded in 1702 by Maria Hueber, was once a centre for girls' education in Tyrol.
The particularly venerable convent of the order of St. Clare was already founded around 1235, in St. Clare's lifetime, and is not accessible to other people. However, in the visitor's room a nun introduces.
