Reservation required

Guided afternoon hike with Klaus Demar.

Meeting point: Train stop Lichtenstern. Duration: 3-4 hours, pure walking time: 2 hours. Difficulty: middle.
Price: € 15, free with RittenCard.
Language: German & Italian.

We meet us at 2.20 p.m. at the Lichtenstern/Station (2.06 p.m. train from Oberbozen/ Klobenstein). In Lichtenstern we learn about the 117-year-old Ritten Railway. From here we climb to the Waldneregg prehistoric cult site. We follow the path near the mythical "Menhir" to Lake Wolfsgruben. Along the Eschenbach stream, which drained the lake, the "Seemüller" had rights to use the irrigation water and the water power for their mills, sawmills and a forge. We look at the old buildings (from the outside) and descend to the beautifully situated Unterinn. On a tour of the village, we visit the parish church - the original parish of Ritten - which is well worth seeing, before taking the bus to Klobenstein, where our hike ends.
