The screening of the film "The sense of beauty", written and directed by Valerio Jalongo, will be screened in Italian at 9pm (21:00). The event takes place in the art village "Val dl Ert" in San Martino in Badia, near the artwork 'Fragile Silence' (art work number 18 on the map). In order to reach the the area of the screening you can park near the Museum Ladin Ciastel de Tor and walk 10 minutes following the signs to the artwork Nr. 18. The trail is marked and easily passable.
Four years after the sensational discovery of the 'Higgs Boson', CERN is on the eve of an exceptional new experiment. The experiment is both a journey into the farthest time and the smallest space we can imagine. Thus, the infinitely small and the vastness of the universe open the doors to an invisible territory, where scientists are guided by something they have in common with artists. Between scientists who have lost the image of Nature, and artists who have lost the traditional idea of beauty, through machines that resemble works of art and artistic installations that resemble experiments, a portrait emerges of scientific and artistic activities as investigation, as imagination, as a genuine exercise in freedom and in beauty.
