Under the direction and dramaturgy of Nicola Benussi, a humorous and moving show takes shape, dedicated to fears, fragilities, and courage. An original production combining acting, dance theatre, and puppet theatre, teatroBlu engagingly tells something we have all experienced: the moment when we must take a step forward and overcome our fears, even when it feels terrifying.
The protagonist of the story is Tremolino. “Tremolino” is not his real name – it’s a nickname given by his family because this child is afraid of absolutely everything. He doesn’t have just one big fear, but many small ones that together become enormous. Luckily, his parents, aunts, grandmother, and grandfather search for a solution and eventually decide to send him to boarding school: a place where he can overcome his fears, learn, and grow, so they can finally call him by his real name again.
This is how the show on December 13 begins: with a journey. Tremolino’s journey to the “Everybody Behave!” boarding school. There, together with the Headmaster and the Teachers, he will experience his greatest adventure, overcome his fears, and discover that his name is indeed a beautiful one.
A performance about identity and believing in oneself, told with delicacy through a theatrical language made of words, images, movement, and objects that come to life. A story that reminds us that we have all, at least once, been Tremolino: trembling, hesitant, but ready to find within ourselves the courage to overcome our fears.
The show is part of the Theatrical Vitamins project curated by the Italian Culture Department of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano. The series Theatre Belongs to Children will continue from January 2026, bringing productions from all over Italy to Bolzano and offering children and adults the chance to experience new theatrical techniques and languages.
