Geniušas, now 34, has been learning to play the piano since the age of five and entered Moscow's Frédéric Chopin Academy of Music Performance in 1996. Since 1996, he has performed internationally with various orchestras and given solo concerts. In 2015, the Russian-Lithuanian pianist won second place at the International Tchaikovsky Competition.
