In Val Casies Valley, in S. Maddalena, the traditional “Kirschta” (parish fair) is celebrated in autumn. A special highlight is the “Original Obolola Almabtrieb” on Saturday afternoon. Farmers dressed in festive traditional attire bring their livestock – cows, sheep and goats – down from the alpine pastures into the valley. The animals are beautifully decorated with flowers, wreaths and bells. At the head of the valley, the festival tent invites visitors to enjoy a convivial gathering with traditional specialties and musical entertainment.wers, garlands, and bells.
