The Apple Festival kicks off with open days at the cooperatives:
Visitors can take guided tours to get a glimpse behind the scenes – from storage and sorting to the packing of the apples. There will also be tastings led by apple sommeliers, local shops open for business offering samples, a children’s corner, and apple-themed tastings prepared by the local farmers’ wives.
At eight stations, visitors to the cooperatives can also discover fascinating facts about apples: from the ‘Apple Paradise’ and discussions with farmers to insights into the branding strategies behind Clubäpfel, sales to around 50 countries, quality standards, collaboration with beekeepers, and VOG Products, with samples available to try on site.
