Ceremonial cattle drive in Burgusio

The traditional cattle drive from the Oberdörfer Alm alpine pasture will take place again on 14 September 2025.
In the period from the beginning of September to the end of September, before it gets colder in the higher altitudes, the cattle drives take place in South Tyrol. The best dairy cows are lavishly and beautifully decorated with flowers in recognition of their performance. In the valley, the village community celebrates the arrival of the cattle and dairymen with a small feast.
The festivities begin at 10:30 a.m.
The cows arrive at the upper village at approximately 1:30 p.m.
Plenty of food and drink will be provided.
With barrel tapping, as well as coffee and cake.
