The Albeins brass band was first mentioned in 1803 and, with its 223 years, is therefore one of the oldest bands in the region. The band still owns a large drum that was captured by the musicians during the Wars of Liberation in 1809 and was used for many years afterwards.
A distinctive feature of the Albeins traditional costume is that it consists of a long blue coat, a large black hat, leather trousers, and a leather belt decorated with tin studs.
Today, the band has 35 members. It provides musical accompaniment for various religious celebrations (processions, First Communion, Confirmation...) in Albeins and performs concerts in different locations throughout South Tyrol.
