The 30th edition of Dolomiti Ski Jazz takes to the slopes of Col Rodella with the grand Gipsy Jazz family.
From 6 to 15 March, the "jazz trail" will cross the Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme valleys, with concerts on mountain hut terraces, in local venues, theatres, and squares. From Canazei to Cavalese, all the way to Cembra: Dolomiti Ski Jazz will once again feature 25 concerts this year. Warm rhythms of jazz, blues, funk, and Latin music will create thrilling contrasts with the snow-covered Dolomite scenery. International artists will perform in the evenings in local venues and theatres, while during the day they will ascend to higher altitudes, performing on mountain hut terraces, some of which are accessible to non-skiers. The festival will move from one slope to another each day, from the Belvedere ski area in Canazei to Alpe Cermis in Cavalese.
Dolomiti Ski Jazz: Mozes Rosemberg Trio, Baita Rodella 2222 (Campitello). Sunday 15 March at 2 p.m.
A guitar virtuoso, Mozes is the youngest exponent of the Sinti Rosenberg dynasty, the prominent Dutch Gipsy Jazz family. He is one of Django Reinhardt's most phenomenal heirs, combining traditional style with more contemporary phrasing and licks.
Band members: Mozes Rosemberg (guitar), Alex Ricci (guitar), Max Turone (double bass).
The concert is free. The event location is accessible only by skis from Col Rodella, Passo Sella (Sellajoch), or Pian Frataces (Lupo Bianco).
